Chi-C Process
If formally given a bid to join the sorority, you will start a 7 week candidate process. We call this the "Chi-C Process" because you are in the process of becoming a sister of the Chi Chapter.
During this 7 week period, you will be matched with a Big, attend a weekly meeting with all Chi-Cs, attend Big Little retreat, and complete a series of small tasks to prepare you for becoming a sister in Christ with Sigma Alpha Omega® at USC.
Contact Morgan Cass (Chi-C Mama) for more information: mtcass@email.sc.edu
Big Little Retreat
During the Chi-C Process, all Chi-C's will attend a Big Little Retreat to a surprise location to bond with their bigs and fellow members. For example, the 2021 Spring Big Little Retreat was held in Savannah, GA where girls participated in a scavenger hunt, completed a Bible study, and spent time eating great food, shopping, and bonding. Fall 2021 Big Little Retreat was held in Charlotte, North Carolina where the girls did a bonding Bible study, explored a fair, and tested out their golfing skills at Top Golf.
Initiation
After completing the Chi-C process and all requirements, Chi-C's will attend an initiation ceremony and be welcomed into the new class of the Chi Chapter of Sigma Alpha Omega®. You will officially be a sister!
All the time and effort into becoming a sister is well worth it in the end and you will have your Big and other sisters by your side to guide you along the way!
